With NHL players no longer participating in the 2022 Winter Olympics, the league has altered its remaining 2021-22 schedule, officially eliminating the three-week gap in February that was originally supposed to be utilized as a league-wide break.
For the Winnipeg Jets, who’ve had nine games postponed due to either COVID-19 or attendance restrictions, they’re slated to play eight additional contests next month and one in March.
Here are the rescheduled dates:
Feb. 8 vs MIN
Feb. 11 @ DAL
Feb. 12 @ NSH
Feb. 14 vs CHI
Feb. 16 vs MIN
Feb. 17 vs SEA
Feb. 19 vs EDM
Feb. 21 @ CGY
Mar. 24 vs OTT
Following this development, the Jets are now slated to endure a very busy stretch of games in February – including an eight-game slate in just 14 days from Feb. 8-21. However, this club’s All-Star break will last six days before they return to action.
The regular season is still scheduled to conclude after Apr. 29.
Winnipeg will continue its current four-game road trip against the Nashville Predators on Thursday, with puck drop slated for 7:00 pm CT.
