No, sorry Winnipeg Jets fans, @Kyle Connor isn’t the fastest skater in the National Hockey League.
While competing in the 2022 Fastest Skater competition, Connor, 25, finished in sixth place with a time of 13.851 seconds. Unfortunately, that wasn’t quick enough to fend off St. Louis Blues forward @Jordan Kyrou, who won the event at 13.550 seconds.
Though Connor didn’t win this year’s crown, at least he finished ahead of two other skaters, @Dylan Larkin and Kuznetsov. Better yet, the Jets forward should be very proud of his hair, which was on full display while taking a lap around the rink at T-Mobile Arena.
Leading the way offensively for Winnipeg in the first half, Connor leads his team in goals (25) and points (45) through 42 games. Additionally, the elite sniper also posted 190 shots on goal, 36 takeaways, 19 hits and nine blocks while averaging 21:34 minutes of ice-time per game.
Connor will represent the Jets at the 2022 NHL All-Star Game, which will begin Saturday at 2:00 pm CT.
