We could see the Winnipeg Jets in first in the Central division tonight if they can pull of a victory over tonight’s opponent the Anaheim Ducks, in the second game of a four game road trip.
The Jets are currently in third in the division with a 15-8-2 record. With two points tonight the Jets will be tied with the Colorado Avalanche for 34 points with the Jets playing one less game than the Avalanche.
The Ducks are looking to get out of the basement of the Pacific they are seventh in the division with a 10-16-0 record. They have dropped nine of their last ten games. With their most recent loss coming in by a 1-0 shutout loss by the Chicago Blackhawks

The goals might come a little easier tonight for the Jets has the Ducks allow 3.38 goal against. John Gibson who should start for the Ducks tonight has a brutal 5-11-0 record but as a promising .906 save percentage and a 2.86 goals against average.
Frank Vatrano leads the Ducks in scoring with 14 goals and 23 points. He has two career goals against the Jets in eight games. In his last five games he has one goal and three points
Connor Hellebuyck should get the start for the Jets. He and Laurent Brossoit have not allowed more than three goals against since November third.
Mike McIntyre of the Winnipeg Free Press would report yesterday that Rick Bowness hopes to get Vlad Namestnikov back into the line-up after missing three games with a lower-body injury. Which would mean Axel Jonsson-Fjallby is most likely out of the lineup.
Recent history doesn’t bold well for the Jets against the Ducks they have beaten the Jets in eight of their ten meetings. The silver lining is the two Jets wins against the Ducks have happened at the Honda Center.
Projected Lineup:
              Connor – Scheifele – Ehlers
              Perfetti – Vilardi – Iafallo
