The Winnipeg Jets (12-6-2) return home after a three game road trip that took them through Florida and Tennessee. Overall it was a successful road trip as the Jets would pick up four of six points and pick up a shutout over the Florida Panthers. Tonight the big bad Dallas Stars are in Winnipeg for a show down for second spot in the Central division.

The Stars are looking to get back win coloumn as they have lost their last two games and have lost three of their last four games. The last game for Dallas saw them losing to the Calgary Flames 7-4. Jake Ottinger would allow six goals on 26 shots. Expect him to be fired up to win tonight’s contest.

Both teams have played well against their divisional opponents, the Jets are 5-2-0 while the Stars are 4-1-0 in the Central division.

The Jets players seemed to be incredibly upset after the 3-2 loss to Dallas.  This game should have an effect on the team as a whole this season.

Dallas is averaging 3.42 goals per game and allowing an average of 2.95 goals against a game. The Jets are having better luck scoring than there Texan rivals they are averaging 3.55 goals a game and allowing an average of 2.90 goals against.

Kyle Connor leads both his team in goals (14) and in points (23). Joe Pavelski and Wyatt Johnson are tied with nine goals each while Pavelski leads the team in points with 19.

If you were hoping to see Gabriel Vilardi tonight he will be held out for at least one more game as he is still adjusting to his new knee brace according to Jets head coach Rick Bowness.
