It’s never too early to talk trades, is it?

It’s important to note that when talking about trades and the Winnipeg Jets, it’s simply something that doesn’t happen very often. In his time as Winnipeg Jets General Manager, Kevin Chevledayoff has only made two trades that involved an exchange of NHL players leaving in exchange for NHL players coming to the club. Last season, Chevledayoff only made one move – a deadline day deal to send Drew Stafford to the Boston Bruins for a conditional draft pick.

So trades don’t always happen in Jets-land, but it’s always fun to speculate right? If you need help in speculating, consider where the Jets fearless GM was the past couple of nights..

Maybe he’s taking a chance with the Jets extended break to catch other teams in action… Maybe he’s scouting a player or two he has an eye on both in juniors and in the pros..

Time to play “Let’s Make A Deal!”

Is there a deal to be made between the Jets and Florida Panthers, or the Los Angeles Kings? Maybe he has his eye on the woeful Montreal Canadiens and is ready to pounce if they feel they need to make a move? If you were Chevy and looking to make a deal, who would it be for and who would you be giving up in exchange?

Maybe the Jets don’t need to make a deal at all, you can make your argument for that as well.
