After a practice in Pittsburgh, there are a few roster notes for the Winnipeg Jets…
- @Dmitry Kulikov has left the team for a “family matter” and will not be in the lineup on Tuesday.
- @Sami Niku has been recalled by the Jets and will join the team in Pittsburgh. The NHL has granted the Jets a roster exemption for Kulikov’s absence meaning no other move will be needed to add Niku to the lineup. When Kulikov returns, if the Jets do plan on keeping Niku in the lineup (which they should) then a roster move will be needed to re-add Kulikov back. Niku had two assists in two games the Moose played in Texas and by all accounts looked ready for NHL duty.
- On the injury front, @Josh Morrissey will return for Tuesday’s game after missing Sunday’s contest in Long Island. @Bryan Little took part in practice as well but is still recovering from a concussion and will not be playing Tuesday.
(Stick taps to Mike McIntyre of the Winnipeg Free Press and Ted Wyman of the Winnipeg Sun who are on the road with the Jets.)
