The Jets finally got a tiny bit of help on Monday night as the Minnesota Wild were limited to a single point in the standings thanks to an overtime loss against the Los Angeles Kings.

With that, the Jets Magic Number to clinch second in the Central drops by one and the Kings at the same time get themselves back into third place in the Pacific as they hold the tie-breaker of regulation wins over the Anaheim Ducks.

Nashville predictably beat down the Sabres by a 4-0 score, so their lead over Winnipeg is now 10 points.

The Calgary Flames dropped a 5-2 loss to the Arizona Coyotes. The Flames are six points back of Anaheim and Colorado with nine games left to play.

Meanwhile in clinching news, the Tampa Bay Lightning are the second NHL club to earn a spot which they actually did on Sunday thanks to a win over Edmonton and a New Jersey loss.
