It’s the final round of the Stanley Cup playoffs and as we all expected, it’s the Washington Capitals and Vegas Golden Knights playing for the right to lift Lord Stanley.
Ok, not exactly. The entire hockey world has spent the last few days trying to figure out which team was more of the least likely club to be in this position and a few brave JetsNation members are willing to show their face after unanimously picking the Winnipeg Jets to make it past Vegas in the West Finals.
In our defense, this *is* a Winnipeg jets blog so our biased picks can be excused.
So who do we see winning the ultimate hockey prize? See below..
Vegas Golden Knights (51-24-7 / 1st Pacific)
v
Washington Capitals (49-26-7 / 1st Metropolitan)
Art: Knights in 6 – Vegas is just relentless and Fluery is all-world right now. As good as the Caps are, as we saw with the Jets, even the most talented teams just get suffocated by the Golden Knights deadly counter-attack.
Cassie: Caps in 6. Bring me happy Ovi. I have hope.
Kyle B: Caps in 7. Ovechkin will finally have his time to shine.
WPGChief: Caps in 6. I’m not underestimating the Knights – if anything I’m overestimating the Caps. But I just want Ovi to finally win so we can shut up about him choking. I’m just glad we get a new cup winner this year.
Alec: Knights in 7. The Caps thought they had gotten over the curse of the Penguins. Unfortunately, they will get stopped by the ex-Pens goalie in the final.
