*lets out deep sigh*
The Jets dressed a lineup of players that you’re likely to see suit up on October 4 while the Oilers dressed maybe 10 players who be in their opening day lineup and besides Ryan Nugent-Hopkins and Zack Kassian, they certainly didn’t dress any of their big guns.
And the Jets still lost 3-1.
The first period was fine enough and the Jets did actually play quite well in the first 20 minutes. The third period was ok enough, it was played fairly even and it didn’t really matter because the Jets were well out of the game by then.
That second period though was ugly as sin.
