The Jets are a mystery wrapped in an enigma covered by a riddle. One night they look pretty darn good in San Jose, the next night they crap the bed against Anaheim.
And here is where we try to make sense of it all by answering your questions!

On to the questions!
Carl asked: Besides Ladd and Byfuglien who else do you think that is a Winnipeg Jet now will not be on the team after this summer?
Well Pardy is a UFA and he pretty much for sure will not be back.
As far as players who are under contract for 16-17? If I had to take a wild guess, I’m not so sure Paul Postma is a Jet come October and for some strange reason I have this sneaking suspicion that Alex Burmistrov will be part of some package sent away by the Jets.
Sadly this means I am pretty sure were stuck with the likes of Stuart and Thorburn for yet another season beyond this one. Would the Jets finally move Pavelec? Not likely especially as the Jets would surely like to have a veteran presence with either Hellebuyck or Hutchinson
Which 10 teams are in contention for the Cup? That would be a good start to figuring out where Ladd could go, especially as we get closer to the trade deadline where the cap number isn’t as much of an issue as it would be if a team wanted to add him now.
New Jersey has been a nice story so far and could use a player like Ladd. Same with Nashville, Detroit and Florida. These are teams either in the middle of the pack (or in Florida’s case, leading it) and have a bit more cap room to make a deal sooner rather than later.
Once we get closer to March however, the trading pool gets a bit deeper which is why I have my doubts we’ll see Ladd traded no more than a week before the deadline.
Stuart is Mr. TNSE and well liked in the dressing room, hence why he’s got a letter.
Keep in mind that a ‘C’ or an ‘A’ on the shoulder is not indicative of talent in comparison to anyone else on the team. To that end, there is no doubt Stuart is a stand up guy, someone you love to have in the dressing room and a veteran leader.
We all just wish that meant he was also a better player on the ice.
Stuart has been an assistant captain for the Jets since they moved in from Atlanta in the 2011-12 season.
At least year’s deadline, the Arizona Coyotes received John Moore, Anthony Duclair, a second-round pick, and a first-round pick in exchange for Keith Yandle, Chris Summers and a fourth-round pick.
Moore was a UFA that summer and signed with the Devils. Summers is still with the Rangers organization in the AHL.
The keys to the deal for the Coyotes were Duclair and the draft picks and it would be the most ideal kind of return the Jets could get for Buff. The main issue that hinders the Jets however is that Buff has a limited no movement clause and there is likely a list of teams that Buff could veto a trade over, but for the sake of a month or two playing on a Cup contender and depending how bad the Jets were at the time of the deal, would Dustin resist a deal to a better club?
I don’t know if Buff gets the Jets a top level prospect and a couple of high round picks. I think Jets fans should temper expectations and if Chevy can get a first and second or third round pick as well as a mid-level prospect from a deal involving Buff (or Ladd for that matter) that may be as good as it gets.
And it at least would be better than letting them walk for nothing.
