The NHL schedule won’t be out for a few weeks yet, but we now know that the Winnipeg Jets will face the Los Angeles Kings on October 9 to open up the home portion of their 2018-19 schedule.
The NHL this morning released the dates and times for all 31 home openers.
Before the home opener on the 9th however, the Jets open up the season on the road in St. Louis on October 4 against the Blues.
Last season the Jets went 2-1-0 against the Kings with an overtime win and regulation loss at home and a victory in Los Angeles.
Against the division rival Blues, the Jets posted a 2-2-0 record with both Jets wins coming by way of Connor Hellebuyck shutouts.
That season opening game against the Blues could possibly also see the return of Paul Stastny to St. Louis since the deal that saw him moved to Winnipeg at last season’s trade deadline.
The hype for next season has officially begun!
