Facing a 4 pm CT deadline to tender restricted free agents, the Winnipeg Jets announced they’ve issued qualifying offers to four skaters, preventing them from becoming unrestricted free agents when the signing period opens Wednesday morning.
In total, the club has tendered forward @Andrew Copp and defensemen @Neal Pionk, @Logan Stanley and @Johnathan Kovacevic.
While these four players will remain with the organization, the Jets didn’t offer qualifying offers to forwards @Marko Dano, @Skyler McKenzie, defenseman @Luke Green and goaltender @Cole Kehler, making all four skaters unrestricted free agents.
Free-agent frenzy will open at 11 am CT on Wednesday.
