In what was an overall very quiet week for Jets prospects across the board, the one stat line that maybe stands out the most is goaltender Jared Moe’s. One game played, 6:51 of ice time seen and two saves?
Turns out Moe was needed in relief of Carolina Hurricanes prospect @Jack LaFontaine who left Minnesota’s game against Wisconsin late in the third period with what was called an upper body injury. Unlike @Connor Hellebuyck on the same night he earned a W for his brief appearance against the Columbus Blue Jackets, Moe wasn’t given credit for the win with the game already well in hand for the Golden Gophers as they cruised to a 4-1 victory over their Big Ten rivals.
As for the Jets AHL club, as it seems to have been for the last few seasons, the Toronto Marlies continue to give Manitoba all kinds of issues as Moose dropped a pair of games in Toronto this past weekend by scores of 4-2 on Saturday and then 4-1 on Sunday.
