Jets Prospect Update – February 17th

The Moose get a boost with the return of an all-star goalie and Kyle Connor continues to lead the NCAA is scoring. Check in on them and everyone else in this weeks prospects update.
AHL

The Manitoba Moose played four times this past week, and even though they lost three of those games some solace can be taken from the fact that they kept them close, only losing by a single goal in each. They even managed to keep the shot totals close, only being out-shot by a combined five shots through the three losses, though in their one win this past Sunday they did end up getting out-shot by a rather significant 17.
Leading the way for the moose this week once again were Josh Morrissey (2g, 3a) and Nic Petan (3g, 1a). After a slow start, Morrissey has seen his point totals by month increase consistently as the season has progressed.
Also scoring for the Moose this week were Brendan Kichton (1g, 3a), Austen Brassard (1g, 2a), JC Lipon (3a, missed Sunday’s game), Chase De Leo (1g, 1a), Scott Kosmachuk (1g, 1a), Thomas Raffl (2a), and Jan Kostalek (1a).
Eric Comrie played in the first three games of the week, coming in in relief for Olkinoura in one of them, and stoped 76 of 84 shots. The last game of the week was the return of Connor Hellebuyck to the Moose after his recent reassignment and saw him pick right up where he had left off stopping 39 of 41 in the win.
CHL

Brendan Lemieux had two goals and an assist in three games played.
Matteo Gennaro scored once and added an assist in two games played.
Jansen Harkins picked up two assists in two games.
It was an off week for the Jets prospects on the Red Deer Rebels as Spacek and Nogier were both held pointless in their games.
NCAA

Jack Roslovic picked up an assist in his only game for the week.
C.J. Franklin had one goal in two games played.
Kyle Connor retained his spot atop the NCAA points leaders with two goals and two assists in two games on the week. With 48 points in 27 games now, Connor has managed to surpass the point totals of last years Michigan freshman star Dylan Larkin in 8 less games!
Erik Foley had two assists in two games played.
Tucker Poolman and Jack Glover both had one assist in two games on the week. Poolman’s scoring has cooled off a bit in the new year but he continues to be a high volume shooter and is currently 11th in the NCAA in shots on goal per game for defensemen.
Mason Appleton, Matt Ustaski, and Tanner Lane were all held pointless in their games for the week.
Jamie Phillips (and Michigan Tech) did not play this week.
Europe

Sami Niku played in one game on the week and was held pointless.
Pavel Kraskovsky and Ivan Telegin did not play this week.
Other

Marcus Karlstrom had one assist in two games.
The Tulsa Oilers had four games this past week. Axel Blomqvist scored three goals and Jimmy Lodge chipped in an assist.
All stats as of Tuesday night.
