The Winnipeg Jets will look to stretch their winning streak to five games Monday night when they visit the Calgary Flames at Scotiabank Saddledome.
Winnipeg is coming off a dominant 4-1 victory over the Nashville Predators Saturday. Mark Scheifele made history by opening the scoring on the power play, surpassing Blake Wheeler’s franchise record of 812 points to become the all-time points leader in Jets 2.0 history. Nino Niederreiter, Logan Stanley, and Vladislav Namestnikov all added goals, while Connor Hellebuyck was excellent in net, stopping 30 of 31 shots for a .968 save percentage.
The Flames have struggled early this season, posting a 1-5-0 record through their first six games. Calgary is coming off a 6-1 blowout loss to the Vegas Golden Knights, where Jonathan Huberdeau scored his first of the season, and goaltender Dustin Wolf was pulled after stopping 14 of 19 shots. Backup Devin Cooley allowed one goal on eight shots.
Last season, these teams met in January, with the Jets claiming a 5-2 home victory. Winnipeg’s top line trio of Scheifele, Kyle Connor, and Gabriel Vilardi dominated the scoresheet, combining for nine points: Scheifele (1G, 1A), Connor (1G, 2A), and Vilardi (2G, 2A).
The two clubs will meet twice this week, with the second matchup on Friday in Winnipeg at 7:00 p.m. CDT.
Brad Lambert is projected to make his season debut tonight on the third line with Alex Iafallo and Namestnikov.
Projected lineup (subject to change):

Niederreiter – Toews – Nyquist
Iafallo – Namestnikov – Lambert
