When you’re good, you get to be known by fans and media by a single name or nickname.
Mention the name”Buff” or “Big Buff” and hockey fans and media alike know you’re talking about multiple time All-Star and one of the hardest hitters in the game, Jets defenseman Dustin Byfuglien.
When you’re really good, they write songs about you. Dustin Byfuglien is covered there as well.
Nova Scotia celtic band “The Donnybrooks” specialize in humorous songs about East Coast and Canadian life and of course with a band name like that, you have to know hockey is a specialty of theirs.
Back in March of this year, they took the Kansas hit “Dust In The Wind” and changed the lyrics to pay tribute to Winnipeg’s favorite giant blue-liner…
Well done fellas! Such a peaceful sounding song for a man that can dish out such violent hits.
You can check out The Donnybrooks self titled digital album that they released this past December over at their Bandcamp site.
