Winnipeg Jets head coach Paul Maurice has placed eighth in league voting for the Jack Adams trophy as the NHL’s top bench boss.
Maurice received three first-place votes, two second-place votes and six third-place votes.
The Jets had a strong regular season ahead of the pandemic pause with the club posting a .563 points percentage. Winnipeg was carried for much of the year by netminder Connor Hellebuyck.
Maurice, who just completed his seventh year behind the bench in Winnipeg, was unable to get the Jets far when it came to postseason play with the club falling in the qualifying round to the Calgary Flames.
Boston Bruins head coach Bruce Cassidy won this year’s Jack Adams award.
