Kings at Jets | OddsShark Matchup Report

The Kings are 3-5-0 this season and have had the total go UNDER at online sports betting sites in three consecutive games as their first defence pairing of Drew Doughty and Ben Hutton have excelled lately at containing opponents’ first lines. Offensively, the Kings and their Anze Kopitar-led attack are 15th in the NHL in goal scoring (3.00 per game) with a 28th-ranked power play (9.4 per cent). After a rough start, the Kings are ranked 30th in goals against (4.00) and are also 26th in penalty killing (71.4).
Los Angeles is rotating their goalies. Jack Campbell is 2-2-0 with a 2.77 goals-against average and .897 save percentage, while Jonathan Quick is 1-3-0 with a 5.06 GAA and .828 save percentage but had a season-best performance in a 4-1 win at Calgary last Saturday.
The Jets are 5-5-0 in spite of a teamwide offensive slump at even strength that has seen them go 238 minutes, 13 seconds without a goal at five-on-five. Mark Scheifele and his wings Patrik Laine and Blake Wheeler have gone two games without a point and will have to try to break free from Doughty in order to end their drought.
Overall, the Jets have the league’s 22nd-ranked offense (2.60 goals per game) and are 19th in goals allowed (3.30 per game). On special teams, the Jets are 19th in power-play efficiency (18.2 per cent) and 31st and last in penalty killing (61.1).
Connor Hellebuyck is 4-3-0 with a 2.28 GAA and .929 save percentage in seven games this season after posting a 28-save shutout in Sunday’s 1-0 shootout win against the Edmonton Oilers. The Jets have three days off following Tuesday’s game before hosting the Calgary Flames on Saturday.
