In the past two weeks since our
last Future Plans, Winnipeg’s AHL affiliate the St. John’s IceCaps had a strong
surge winning five of six games and losing one in extra-time.

Below is a list of Winnipeg’s
top 10 prospects over the past two weeks, and reasons that they are positioned

#10: Chase De Leo – C, Portland
Winterhawks (WHL) [Last Ranking: Unranked]
New to the list, Chase De Leo had a strong two weeks for the Portland
Winterhawks. The 19-year-old centre had four goals and two assists in six games
played. He is also on a two-game point streak.

#9: Jimmy Lodge – C, Mississauga
Steelheads (OHL) [Last Ranking: 9th]
Despite being dealt by the Saginaw Spirit a week ago, Lodge is having himself
quite the year in the OHL. Jimmy had played in just four games over the past
two weeks, but has added two goals and three assists to his season totals. He’s
on an eight-game point streak and leads his new team in points with 21.

shutouts, Hellebuyck had a 1.15 GAA and a 0.963 SV% over the past two weeks.

#6: Carl Klingberg – LW, St.
John’s IceCaps (AHL) [Last Ranking: 4th]
Klingberg continues to drop on our list for the third straight time, not
because his play has been notably bad, but because other players are playing pretty
good as of late. The big Swede added a pair of goals and assists in six games and
is currently riding a three-game point streak with the IceCaps.

Michigan Wolverines (NCAA) [Last Ranking: 7th]
It appears Copp has found his scoring touch with Michigan over the past two
weeks. The Wolverines’ captain netted a trio of goals and added four helpers in
four games, and is now on a five-game point streak. Copp is currently tied for
third on the team with 10 points in 11 games.

on a pair of goals in six games. I can’t wait till O’Dell gets his call up with
the Jets, he’s just what Winnipeg needs in the bottom six.

Raiders, Morrissey was a -5 and added a goal and three assists in that time.
Sure his numbers are down, but he’s a d-man that we all know will be playing
for Canada this December in the World Junior Championships.

Halifax Mooseheads (QMJHL) [Last Ranking: 1st]
Surprise, surprise… Ehlers is still at the top of our list, but why shouldn’t
he be? In the past two weeks, the Czech forward had five goals and eight
assists in just five games with the Mooseheads. He is currently riding a
10-game point streak and sits second on the team in scoring with 30 points in
18 games. He’s two points back of the team leader despite playing eight less
games.
