The Winnipeg Jets, who have tightened up their home-ice play of late, are facing an opponent who was already trending negatively before they lost a key contributor. The Jets are -125 home favourites while the Arizona Coyotes are +105 away underdogs with a 5.5-goal total on the NHL odds for Monday at sportsbooks monitored by OddsShark.com.
Winnipeg is 6-3 over its nine most recent matchups against Arizona. The Jets are 6-2 in their last eight home games against the Pacific Division with the total finishing UNDER seven times at sports betting sites. It is a similar story with the moneyline; the Jets are 6-3 in their last nine home games as a favourite of 100 to -140 on the moneyline, with the total finishing UNDER seven times.
The Coyotes are 3-11 in their last 14 games as an away underdog, with the total finishing UNDER 11 times, but they are 3-3 on the road against Central Division teams this season.

Coyotes at Jets | OddsShark Matchup Report

The Coyotes have a 33-28-8 record as they play their third away game in five days. Arizona has a 10-2 record with two days between games and the average total in those contests is just 3.08 goals. However, a team which is 23rd out of 31 NHL teams in five-on-five shot-attempt percentage (48.4 percent) is missing a key cog with left wing Conor Garland (lower-body injury) sidelined and unable to complement the likes of center Clayton Keller and left wing Taylor Hall. Arizona is 23rd in goals scored (2.72 per game) and third in goals against (2.59). The Coyotes’ power play is ranked 18th (19.3 percent) while their penalty killing is ranked sixth (82.6).
Arizona goalie Darcy Kuemper has a 16-10-2 record with a 2.19 goals-against average and a .929 save percentage.  Kuemper has a 2.37 GAA and .929 save percentage in three starts since returning from a lower-body injury.
The Jets are 35-28-6, including a 9-4-2 record with two days between games. The average total in those contests is just 4.80 goals. While the total has gone UNDER 5.5 goals in four consecutive Jets games, left wing Kyle Connor is on a five-game goal streak for a team that ranks 22nd in five-on-five shot-attempt percentage (48.5 percent).
Winnipeg is 17th in goals scored (2.97 per game) and 12th in goals against (2.86). Both Jets special teams units are creeping up the NHL rankings, with the power play ranking 15th (20.7 percent) while the penalty killing unit is 23rd (77.2)
Winnipeg is likely to give another start to Connor Hellebuyck, who has a 29-21-5 record with a 2.59 goals-against average and .921 save percentage. Hellebuyck has allowed just one goal in his last two starts.
The Jets visit the Edmonton Oilers on Wednesday in the first matchup of a three-game western Canada road trip.
