Jets Recall Andrew Copp

Earlier today, the Winnipeg Jets recalled forward Andrew Copp from the Manitoba Moose and have placed Marko Dano on the injured reserve with a lower-body injury.

To this point in the season, the 22-year old centreman has seven points (4goals, 3assists) in 25 games played. After starting the season with the Moose, where he registered five points (5assists) in eight games, Copp was recalled to the Jets on November 2nd and has not been back outside of the transaction made this week.

In 103 NHL games, Copp has put up 21 points (11goals, 10assists) for a +10 and 12 career penalty minutes. Prior to the recall, Copp has two goals in his last 10 games played.

So does Burmi get back in the line up now or does he sit while Copp continues to provide reliable 4th line service and help out on the PK?

Surely Burmi can turn his funk around or at least have some value in a combo trade at some point? Losing him on waivers for zilch does not seem prudent while cap is not an issue and the sweaters and such continue to sell.

Stafford should snap out of his funk as well, surely his points drop off was too sudden to be age related?

I think Burmi wouldnt be claimed if put on waivers and should be sent down. I feel like his confidence is shot so sending him down and getting some points wouldnt be a bad idea to elevate his confidence.
