The Winnipeg Jets announced on July 2nd that they have agreed to terms with forward Jaret Anderson-Dolan on a one-way, two-year contract, with an average annual value of $775,000.
Anderson-Dolan, 24, has spent the majority of his career so far with the Los Angeles Kings before being traded to the Nashville Predators ahead of last seasons trade deadline. He scored one goal and had three assists for four points in 31 games between the two teams during the 2023-2024 regular season, while also adding two goals in three games with the Kings AHL affiliate, the Ontario Reign before the trade.

The 5’11” Calgary native was a second-round draft pick by the Los Angeles Kings in the 2017 NHL Draft out of the WHL where he played for the Spokane Chiefs. He would later be named captain in his final year with the Chiefs. Anderson-Dolan has so far appeared in 115 AHL games where he’s tallied 79 points, and he has played in 127 NHL games, totalling 28 points.
Overall opinion on the signing is that it’s a “meh” deal. It’s not a game changer, but it’s not a game killer. Anderson-Dolan seems like he will pop in once in a while on the third or fourth line if needed. But the majority of the time he will likely be a healthy scratch.
