Winnipeg Jets sign defenceman Nathan Beaulieu to two-year contract

The Winnipeg Jets have re-signed defenceman Nathan Beaulieu to a two-year contract extension.
The deal will see Beaulieu get a $125,000 raise over last season.
Beaulieu, 27, was acquired by the Jets from the Buffalo Sabres in Feb. 2019 in a deal that saw Winnipeg flip a sixth-round pick. Since then, he’s appeared in 56 games for the Jets scoring one goal and eight points.
While he hasn’t provided much offensively bringing a five percent below league average there at even-strength, his defensive play has been solid at one percent above league average, according to hockeyviz.com.
