The
Winnipeg Jets didn’t play any games Wednesday, but they were on the ice for practice ahead of Thursday’s matchup in Philadelphia. Still, there was plenty of news around the organization.
Koepke and Fleury participate in practice
Cole Koepke left Monday’s game on Long Island against the
New York Islanders after blocking a shot and didn’t return, raising concern about whether he’d miss any time. Fortunately, he was a full participant at practice and appears ready to go for Thursday.
Haydn Fleury, who exited Saturday’s game against the
Los Angeles Kings after taking a shot off the side of the knee from Adrian Kempe, also was a full participant in practice, but remains listed as day-to-day.
Connor and Nyquist miss practice
It was initially concerning not to see Kyle Connor or Gustav Nyquist on the ice for practice, but Jets head coach Scott Arniel confirmed afterward that both players were simply taking maintenance days.
Jets loan Poulter to Norfolk Admirals
With the Manitoba Moose set to roll with a goaltending tandem of Domenic DiVincentiis and Thomas Milic this season, goaltender Isaac Poulter has been loaned to the organization’s ECHL affiliate, the Norfolk Admirals.
Moose loan Zloty to Admirals, O’Leary to report soon
The Moose continued to trim their roster, loaning defenceman Ben Zloty to Norfolk. Once forward Jack O’Leary’s professional tryout with the Moose concludes, he’ll also report to the Admirals.
The Jets will wrap up their two-game road trip in Philadelphia on Thursday against the
Flyers at 6:00 p.m. CDT before returning home to face the
Nashville Predators on Saturday. You can catch the game on TSN3.
