The @Winnipeg Jets have acquired pending UFA D @Dylan DeMelo from the @Ottawa Senators in exchange for a 2020 third-round draft pick.
DeMelo, 26, has played in 49 games for the Senators this year notching 10 assists in that time. Having played in 259 games in his career, DeMelo has totaled 64 points.
He’s seen a significant bump in playing time in the last two years, both with the Senators, and has averaged 19:32 TOI per game.
DeMelo has been one of, if not the best Sens rearguard this year and his 5v5 underlying numbers show it. He’s posted a 52.37 CF% and a stellar 55.75 xGF%.
