The @Winnipeg Jets have acquired forward @Cody Eakin from the @Vegas Golden Knights, according to TSN’s Darren Dreger.
The trade will see the Jets give up a conditional fourth in 2021, that could become a 3rd if the Jets make the playoffs or Eakin re-signs, Dreger reported.
The Winnipeg born and raised Eakin is in his 9th NHL season and has scored 102 goals and 130 assists in 578 games. For the Golden Knights this season, he’s scored four goals and six assists in 41 games playing 14:39 a night.
According to Puckpedia, Eakin, 28, is in the final year of a four-year deal that pays him an AAV of $3.85-million. He is a UFA at season’s end.
