Instead of having an annual NHL All-Star Game this season. The NHL and NHLPA are preparing the 4 Nations Face-Off, which will run from February 12th through February 20th in Montreal and Boston. This is a round-robin tournament that will feature four national teams: Canada, Sweden, Finland and the United States, with NHL players from those nations filling the rosters. Including three players from the Winnipeg Jets.
Team USA
It’s no surprise that the Jets have at least one participant at the 4 Nations Faceoff, as two-time Vezina Trophy winner Connor Hellebuyck from Commerce Township, Michigan, was always a lock to be one of the three goalies representing Team USA. Hellebuyck will be joined by Jake Oettinger (Dallas Stars) and Jeremy Swayman (Boston Bruins). He’ll also be joined by superstar forward Kyle Connor, a native of Shelby Township, Michigan. Given Connor’s status as an elite sniper, it’s no surprise he’ll be representing the Americans alongside Hellebuyck.

Team Canada
There were several Winnipeg Jets players in the mix to potentially make Team Canada, but only one was selected. And that being top-pairing defenseman Josh Morrissey, a native of Calgary, Alberta. Other Jets players who were projected to make the team but were ultimately left out include team captain Adam Lowry (also from Calgary, Alberta) and assistant captain Mark Scheifele from Kitchener, Ontario.
