Report: Jets place Jay Harrison on waivers

By Garret Hohl
Oct 5, 2015, 12:22 EDTUpdated: Invalid DateTime
The cut brings down the Winnipeg Jets training camp roster from 25 to 24 (excluding Grant Clitsome).
If Harrison clears, he will be assigned to the Manitoba Moose.
Jay Harrison came as a trade from the Carolina Hurricanes when the Jets found themselves with a tonne of injuries throughout their defensive core.
He is well regard as a safe defensive defenders but tends to be limited in mobility, especially with the puck.
If he clears waivers, Harrison will provide some veteran presence to a very young Moose squad.
The Jets camp has now been cut down to 14 forwards, 8 defenders, and 2 goaltenders. The final roster number will need to be set at 23 by Tuesday afternoon.
As it currently stands, it looks like the final battle is between PTO Thomas Raffl and Anthony Peluso.
