Prospect Vids | Mikhail Berdin – Full Game Video | Nov 16, 2015

Jun 30, 2016, 13:58 EDTUpdated: Invalid DateTime
Mikhail Berdin was chosen with the Jets final pick in the 2016 draft, in the 6th round, 157th overall. Berdin is the first goalie the Jets have drafted since Eric Comrie in 2013.
Berdin shared the net with fellow draft prospect Vladislav Sukhachev (who went undrafted), playing 22 games for team Russia U18 in the MHL (Russia’s junior league). He recorded a 2.07 GAA and .928 SV%. Berdin’s most notable performance came at the 2015 World Junior A Challenge, leading the tournament with a 0.80 GAA and .968 SV%. Russia would win the silver medal with Berdin between the pipes.
After the jump, we have a game video from November 16th, 2015 when Russia U18 took on HC MVD. He made 27 saves on 31 shots but was ultimately pulled in the 3rd period after 2 goals in 10 seconds. While not his best game, it should give you an idea of his play style.
