Prospect Vids | Michael Spacek 2015-16 Highlights

Jun 23, 2016, 13:00 EDTUpdated: Invalid DateTime
Michael Spacek was the Jets 4th round choice in 2015 (108th overall). In his draft year, Spacek played 40 games in the Czech Republic’s highest league, the Czech Extraliga. Following the draft, Spacek was selected in the CHL Import Draft by the Red Deer Rebels.
Spacek had a good season in the WHL, playing 61 games and scoring 54 points (18 goals, 36 assists) in the regular season and adding 13 points (3 goals, 10 assists) in 17 playoff games. Early chemistry with Ivan Nikolishin saw Spacek score 17 points in his first 8 games.
As Spacek was not drafted out of the CHL, he is eligible to play in the AHL for the Manitoba Moose for the 2016-17 season. Though it is likely we will see him suit up for Red Deer in 2016-17.
