Kyle Connor’s debut with Michigan is one to be remembered. The freshman scored 2 goals and 1 assist, leading his new team to a 6-4 victory over Mercyhurst University.
His first point, an assist, came on the opening goal. Connor deflected a point shot that was then picked up by teammate Boo Nieves. Connor would would score later in the 1st period, stealing the puck for a shorthanded breakaway goal. What a way to get your first, eh? He would go on to score an empty net goal on a blind backhand shot to seal the victory.
