Nikolaj Ehlers and Nic Petan displayed their clutch scoring abilities on Tuesday, sending their respective teams to the next round of the playoffs.

After assisting on the game-tying goal, Ehlers showed off his deceptive wrist shot in overtime. He will end the series with an impressive 15 points and leads the playoff scoring race.

The Mooseheads face off against the Moncton Wildcats in the next round, beginning Friday in Moncton.

Other than a hooking penalty, Petan was quiet in game 6 until it really mattered. Following great work by Koules to get the puck off the boards and onto Petan’s stick, he fires it over the left shoulder of Kozun to win the series.

The Winterhawks will take on the Everett Silvertips, this series also beginning Friday night.
