The Winnipeg Jets head west to Edmonton looking to earn their first preseason win in a rematch with the Oilers at Rogers Place on Friday night.
Winnipeg fell 3-2 in regulation to Edmonton on Tuesday. After a scoreless opening frame, forward Quinn Hutson struck first for the Oilers midway through the second period. Jets’ defenceman Colin Miller tied it up shortly after, but top prospect Isaac Howard restored Edmonton’s lead on the power play before the second intermission. Ty Emberson extended the lead to 3-1 in the third, and while Colby Barlow notched his first of the preseason in the final minutes, the Oilers held on to hand the Jets their second straight loss.
Here’s the game group for the third preseason game confirmed by the Jets:
Forwards (13): Vladislav Namestnikov, Alex Iafallo, Samuel Fagemo, Morgan Barron, David Gustafsson, Cole Koepke, Colby Barlow, Danny Zhilkin, Nino Niederreiter, Jacob Julien, Tanner Pearson, Phillip Di Giuseppe, Brad Lambert
Defencemen (7): Isaak Phillips, Haydn Fleury, Ville Heinola, Ashton Sautner, Logan Stanley, Tyrel Bauer, Dawson Barteaux
Goaltenders (2): Isaac Poulter, Domenic DiVincentiis
Lambert is set to appear in his third straight preseason game, and so was Elias Salomonsson, but Salomonsson is out due to an illness, as confirmed by head coach Scott Arniel.

Koepke – Barron – Pearson
Barlow – Zhilkin – Lambert
PDG – Gustafsson – Fagemo
Phillips – Fleury
