With the red-hot St. Louis Blues riding a 12-game win streak into Winnipeg, the Jets knew they had to respond—especially after a flat outing in Utah a couple of nights ago. And respond they did, ending the Blues’ heater with a massive 3-1 win Monday night at Canada Life Centre.
It wasn’t a high-scoring affair, but there was still plenty to unpack from a big-time bounce-back game.
Franchise win record broken
With the victory, the Jets earned their franchise-record 53rd win of the season, surpassing the 52-win marks from both 2017-18 and 2023-24.
“It’s gratifying, but it’s stuff for after the year,” said head coach Scott Arniel. “We’re still after something here—we’re still trying to get that division, and this was another step toward it. It’s amazing that we’re at win 53 and we still haven’t clinched the division. That’s how good our division is.”
Lowry hits career high in goals
It wasn’t the only milestone of the night. Jets captain Adam Lowry notched his 16th goal of the season with a late empty-netter, setting a new personal best. He now sits at 33 points (16G, 17A), closing in on his career-high 36 points from 2022-23.
“Real happy for him,” Arniel said. “He does an awful lot for us—a lot of heavy lifting, a lot of leadership. And to have a year like this, that’s been great. He’s had some great looks the last three or four weeks, so to finally see one go in, it’s awesome.”
Jets dominate in response effort
Winnipeg has made a habit of bouncing back after tough games, and this one was no different. After a rough night in Utah, the Jets followed up with one of their most complete performances of the season.
They completely controlled the opening 20 minutes, out-attempting the Blues 31-8 in the first period. The Jets’ Hart Trophy-contending goaltender barely had to break a sweat as the team dictated pace and puck possession all night.
Most impressive? Winnipeg didn’t sit back in the third. Even nursing a one-goal lead, they kept their foot on the gas, pinning the Blues in their own end and locking things down in textbook fashion.

Circle April 10th on your calendar—this could be the biggest game of the season, maybe even in franchise history. The Jets travel to Dallas to face the Stars in a clash that could decide the Central Division. Winnipeg holds a five-point edge, but Dallas has a game in hand.
