The Manitoba Moose wrapped up a five-game road trip this past week, featuring two matchups in Rockford against the IceHogs and one in Milwaukee versus the Admirals. Manitoba entered the trip looking to build on their 3-2 win in Texas on Nov. 8 before heading home for a six-game homestand.

Wednesday, Nov. 12 – Manitoba 3, Rockford 2

The Moose found themselves down early, as Rockford struck twice in the opening seven minutes.
Samuel Fagemo got Manitoba on the board on the power play at 11:01. After a slick feed from Brayden Yager, Fagemo blasted home his third of the season past Drew Commesso to cut the deficit in half.
With just 12 seconds left in the period, Jaret Anderson-Dolan connected with former IceHog Isaak Phillips cutting into the slot. Phillips ripped a shot over Commesso’s blocker and into the top corner, tying the game 2-2.
Just 2:55 into the third, Ville Heinola wired a shot from the blue line through traffic that beat Commesso low, giving the Moose their first lead of the night at 3-2.
Thomas Milic shut the door the rest of the way, finishing with 23 saves and guiding Manitoba to its second straight win.

Friday, Nov. 14 – Manitoba 3, Milwaukee 1

Manitoba jumped out to a 2-0 lead in the first period. Kevin Conley opened the scoring by tapping in a centring pass from Ashton Sautner, and Phillip Di Giuseppe made it 2-0 on the power play after another sharp setup by Yager. Stationed along the sidewall, Yager threaded a pass to Di Giuseppe at the top of the crease for his fourth of the year.
The second period was scoreless, before Cole O’Hara got Milwaukee on the board halfway through the third to cut the lead in half.
Walker Duehr sealed Manitoba’s third straight win with a late empty-netter, his fourth of the season. Domenic DiVincentiis was solid, turning aside 25 shots.

Saturday, Nov. 15 – Manitoba 5, Rockford 2

Manitoba returned to Rockford for the second half of a back-to-back before heading home.
Connor Mylymok opened the scoring for the IceHogs with his second of the season, and Rockford carried the 1-0 lead into the first intermission.
The Moose erupted offensively in the second period with four goals. Danny Zhilkin tied the game when his shot deflected off a Rockford defender and in. Duehr made it 2-1 by driving the net and sliding the puck five-hole past Stanislav Berezhnoy. After Rockford tied it, Zhilkin struck again, this time shorthanded on a 2-on-1, for his second of the game. Just 1:29 later, Fagemo stole the puck at the Manitoba blue line, broke in alone, and finished for his fourth of the season to make it 4-2.
Mason Shaw added the lone goal of the third, sneaking a quick shot under Berezhnoy’s pad to extend the lead to 5-2. Duehr picked up the primary assist for his third point of the game. Milic turned aside 33 shots to secure Manitoba’s fourth straight victory.
The Moose now return home for six straight games at Canada Life Centre, beginning Thursday, Nov. 20, against the Chicago Wolves.
