Pardy time! Excellent!
The Winnipeg Jets have reportedly re-signed defenseman Adam Pardy to a one-year contract worth $1 million, according to TSN’s Aaron Ward.
Pardy, 31, is a capable depth defender and he plays on the left-side – an area of the blue-line where the Jets are relatively shallow. By the underlying metrics Pardy began to show some signs of decline, though it’s unclear whether or not it’s age related, it’s a concern.
Luckily that concern is mitigated by a one-year deal. This isn’t a long-term commitment and Pardy is a very good bet to be a useful depth contributor next season.
