Last night, the NHL revealed their list of the top 100 players ever and the Jets were represented by three of the greats.
The Winnipeg Jets franchise has been home to some fantastic hockey players that were omitted from this list, but we wanted to recognize those that were honoured at last night’s ceremony. Though the three Jets included on the Top 100 list had varying levels of success and lengths of service with the Jets franchise, there are memories to last a lifetime courtesy of the men below, and for that we thank them.

Despite only spending four seasons with the Jets, Teemu Selanne remains a fan favourite for the Jets faithful. How can we not love the man that scored 76 goals as a rookie and lit this city on fire with enthusiasm? Selanne will go down as one of the greatest players of all time and the fact that he continues to show fondness for his time in Winnipeg all these years later means that his legend will only grow.

Known for his blazing speed and incredible shot, Bobby Hull was an easy lock to make the list of greatest players ever. The Golden Jet was a menace to deal with on the ice, often drawing two defenders to shadow him. As you can see from the numbers above, even two men following him around like puppy dogs wasn’t enough to stop him.

While Serge Savard is best known for his time with the Canadiens he actually finished his playing career with the Winnipeg Jets. Serge Savard was known for the Savardian Spin-o-Rama, a term coined by Danny Gallivan for Savard frequent use of the move. Many hockey fans wrongly attribute the Savardian Spin-o-Rama to Denis Savard when, in fact, it was Serge Savard that inspired the term originally.
