Welcome back to our second edition of Future NHEhlers, where we review all the latest in Jets non-AHL prospects and how they have been performing. I am currently writing from Helsinki, Finland where my body’s internal clock is screwed up and it is 30 degrees warmer than back in Ottawa.

  • Nikolaj Ehlers played in 3 games this week scoring 2 goals and earning 4 assists.  Ehlers earned 4 PIMS, a +2 and 14 shots on goal.
  • Nicolas Petan had a quiet week where he played in 2 games, scoring 1 assist, earning a +1.
  • Jimmy Lodge jumped in NHLe rankings amongst the CHL Jets Prospects this week due to 3 goals and 3 assists in 3 games with a +1 and 6 PIMs.
  • Chase De Leo skated in 2 games scoring 1 goal and 1 assist while earning a -3.
  • Axel Blomqvist was seen in 2 games scoring 2 goals and 1 assist
  • Joshua Morrissey notched 1 goal and 2 assists while lacing up for 3 games with Kelowna this week.  For his efforts he earned a +2 and 6 PIM.
  • Jan Kostalek played 3 games earning 2 PIMS a a +4 and 5 shots on goal. 
  • Nelson Nogier earned himself 1 assist to match his -1 and 9 PIM this week.

    • Eric Comrie played in 3 games this week for the 3rd worst WHL possession team Tri-Cities. In those games he saw his GAA increase and had a record of 2-1 (not that those stats are a good indication on his performance). In three games he made 30 of 34 shots, 31 of 34 shots and 34 of 37 shots good for a .905 on the week. Comrie’s .919 season save percentage still has him as the 2nd best goaltender in the WHL.

    • Andrew Copp played in the only game for Michigan this week where he scored 1 goal, earned 2 PIMs, and found 4 shots on net.
    • Minnesota State saw Alaska Anchorage twice this week where C.J. Franklin had 2 assists, a +1 and 4 shots on goal.
    • Tucker Poolman did not play in a game this week as North Dakota does not play until February 13th.
    • Matt Ustaski found 3 shots on net and a -1 in the two games for Wisconin, a team with 2 wins in 30 games.
    • Brennan Serville was also in the one Michigan game where he was a +3 on the night.
    • Tanner Lane did not play this week as Omaha did not have any scheduled games.
    • Aaron Harstad had 3 shots on net and a -2 in the one game for Colorado College.
    • Peter Stoykewych found 2 PIMs in the same game for Colorado College.
    • Jack Glover was a scratch in both games this week for the University of Minnesota.
