FlamesNation is awesome. Not only do they keep us all up to date on imprtant things like TJ Galiardi and Keenan Kanzig – they also help in the Community. As such, I’m happy to announce that FlamesNation is a proud sponsor of "Calgary Laughs" a fundrasier for Alberta Flood Relief, this Wednesdsay at Ceilis pub on Macleod and Southland in Calgary.
So what’s going on? A whole lot of fun, all in the name of raising money for the Red Cross Alberta Flood Relief Fund. The evening will feature a Professional Comedy Show, with a great lineup of the CIty’s best Stand Up Comics – Comics from Just For Laughs, CTV, The Comedy Network, CBC, and more. The lineup features Lori Gibbs, Brad Muise, Marcus Beaubier, Derek Sweet, James Moore, Cory Harding, Lori Ferguson, and Brett Martin (that’s me!), your favourite JetsNation contributor. As well, Canada’s most popular Don Cherry impersonator will be there! (Unfortunalety, fake Ron Maclean and Elliotte Friedman were already booked).
Tickets are $20 at the Door, and you can also purchase them in advance if you like. As well, there will be some sweet prizes that we’ll be Raffling away, with all money going to the Red Cross. Of course, here at FN you get a chance to get in for free. Retweet this article with the hashtag #Calgarylaughs and Kent or Brett may pick you to receive a free ticket at the door. We’ll get in touch with you via twitter if you win.
Ceilis is at #297 9737 Macleod Trail S. Call them at 403.252.2700 for your Advance tockets. Showtime is at 8:00. Hope to see you there as we raise some cash for those in need!
