Welcome to “2 Guys and a Goalie,” starring Dustin Nielson, Joaquin Gage, and Matt Kassian and presented by Odds Shark, Popeye’s Louisiana Chicken, and Sports Clips Haircuts. The show focuses on stories, notes, transactions, and everything else happening all around the NHL and the world of hockey.

Kass is away, but Tom Gazzola is back to fill in!

They get the show going with the Secret Santa exchange!

Then they discuss and breakdown the @Taylor Hall trade to the @Arizona Coyotes.

Popeyes Poll Question: Who will Hall sign with in the offseason?

@Arizona Coyotes
@Edmonton Oilers
@Calgary Flames
@Colorado Avalanche

Scott Hastings from Odds Shark calls in to discuss what the odds were for where Hall was going to be traded to, how the trade effects the Coyotes’ Stanley Cup odds, what it means for the Devils, and wraps up with his best NHL bet for the weekend.

Former NHL goaltender @Winnipeg Jets analyst Trevor Kidd calls in to discuss his junior career, the inspiration for the unique designs he had on his equipment, how goaltending has changed since his days to how the position is played now today, and his thoughts on the Jets’ season so far.

Keep It or Clip It:

The @New Jersey Devils will have a better winning percentage without Hall for the rest of the season.
The @Vancouver Canucks will miss the playoffs.
Benching @Nikita Kucherov was a good call for Jon Cooper.
@Mikko Koskinen is the longterm solution in net for the @Edmonton Oilers.
The recent Star Wars trilogy wasn’t necessary.
Luke Skywalker was weak.
