Kyle Connor had a birthday performance to remember in the Winnipeg Jets’ 3–0 win over the Seattle Kraken on Thursday.
Winnipeg’s leading scorer turned 25 on Dec. 9 and celebrated with two goals in the third period against Seattle. The first came just 47 seconds into the final frame, with Connor one-timing a pass by Mark Scheifele past Kraken goaltender Philipp Grubauer.
Logan Stanley picked up the secondary helper on Connor’s 16th goal of the season, shown here on the official Sportsnet Twitter account:

Connor double-dipped at the 14:54 mark of the period, impossibly lifting the puck over Grubauer’s shoulder from the top of the crease after dancing past defenceman Adam Larsson at the blue line.
While Connor’s second goal of the night (and his 17th of the season) was primarily an individual effort, Blake Wheeler recorded an assist on the play.

Dominic Toninato also scored for Winnipeg, which improved to 13–9–4 with the victory. Connor Hellebuyck made 25 saves for his 10th win (and first shutout) of the season.
Winnipeg will return to action on Friday for a date with the Vancouver Canucks at 9:00 p.m. CT.
