The new season is finally upon us. The sun rises on 2011-12 and with it a new dawn for the Nations Network. We've added some new sites and new faces this summer and are currently working away in Wanye's secret hide-out on future various plans and schemes. SWOTing the Jets Goalies

Part 3 of 3 of the pre-season analysis of the Jets roster using the Strength, Weakness, Opportunities, and Threats (SWOT) technique concludes with the goaltenders. Again, apologies for contradicting myself here and against the other 2 blogs however the writer try to stay away from black-and-white and deal in shades of grey (or maybe he is just wishy-washy).
Going forward, should the ever-mighty Nation Network overloads agree, look for this author to do a post-month overview of the Jets play after each calendar month ends with references back to the points made in these 3 articles.

Pay attention to “minor” transactions

Tomorrow morning several thousand of Winnipeggers are going to be calling in sick and nursing a major hangover. For many it will be the start of a 4-day weekend. Most if not all Jets fan will miss the small item on the news that the Winnipeg Jets picked up Brett MacLean today. Sometimes a minor transaction like this truly does mean very little. Other times, these little moves can change the course of a franchise. Look no further than Marty St. Louis or Ray Whitney as both players were picked up on waivers at one point in their career.

Nation Network Projected Finishes, 2011-12

We've gone from one end of the Nation Network to the other, polling writers from Canucks Army on the West Coast to Leafs Nation in the East (readers of the latter site, please feel free to substitute "Universal Center" for "East" in your minds) and everywhere in between.

What we've come back with are the Nations' projected NHL standings for 2011-12.
