The Winnipeg Jets are back in action this evening on ''Hockey Day In Canada'' as they travel to Detroit to take on the Red Wings at Joe Louis Arena for the second and final time this season. The Red Wings defeated the Jets by a score of 4-3 back on Nov. 20, 2014 in Winnipeg with Tomas Tatar scoring the game winning goal.
The Jets enter today's game holding onto the first Wild Card spot in the Western Conference with a record of 28-19-10, good enough 66 points. The Jets are 3-5-2 in their last ten games played and lost their last game to the Nashville Predators by a score of 3-1 on Thursday.
The Red Wings enter with a spot in the playoffs, sitting third in the Atlantic Division with a record of 31-13-9, for 71 points on the season. Detroit is on a hot streak as of late, winning eight games in their last 10, but dropped their last game to the Pittsburgh Penguins, 4-1 on Wednesday.
