Jets players paid the price on Wednesday after the team suffered arguably its ugliest loss of the season.
Head coach Paul Maurice put the players through a gruelling hour-long practice, which included an intense conditioning skate.
This comes after the Jets mustered only eight shots through two periods in a 2-1 defeat to the Carolina Hurricanes.
The Jets will try to get back into the win column on Thursday when they travel to Tampa Bay to face the Lightning.

With Ondrej Pavelec's return to health, the Winnipeg Jets' netminder prospect extraordinaire Connor Hellebuyck returned to the Manitoba Moose in the American Hockey League.
The self-proclaimed "big and boring" goaltender blocked shots for 26 games during his call-up to the NHL. Over that time he stopped 91.8 per cent of shots on goal and posted a 13-11-1 record.

What is it about the Carolina Hurricanes that make the Winnipeg Jets so tentative at the start of the game? Once again the Jets failed to show up early, tried a miracle comeback late, only to fall 2-1 to the Hurricanes. The loss snapped the Jets four-game road winning streak while assuring the Hurricanes a season sweep against the Jets.
