The Winnipeg Jets earlier signed Michael Hutchinson to a two-year contract extension, meaning the Jets are going into training camp with three goaltenders who carry NHL experience.
Fans are excited at the aspect of Connor Hellebuyck leading the team back into the promise land, and potentially the Jets' first post season win. The issue is that now the Jets have two netminders with one-way contracts in the way. This has led some to bring up the term "buy out".
There was a time when buying out Pavelec made some sense, but that time has since passed.

We are less than 48 hours away from the NHL Entry Draft and there has been talk that the Winnipeg Jets could shock many with drafting Jesse Puljujarvi instead of Patrik Laine at second overall.
If the Jets were to do such it would be a mistake... not world ending, but a mistake all the same.
McKenzie: passing on Laine, selecting Puljujarvi with 2nd overall pick 'may be a legit consideration' for Jets

For months now, even before the NHL draft lottery, the apex of the 2016 NHL Entry Draft order has seemed immutable. Most everyone expects Auston Matthews to go first, then Patrik Laine, then Jesse Puljujarvi.
Hold on though. While Laine remains the consensus pick to go second overall, all it takes to throw a wrench into the expected draft order is for one team to think a bit differently. And the Winnipeg Jets may be that team that thinks a bit differently, according to TSN's Bob McKenzie.
On Wednesday night McKenzie tweeted that he wasn't "nearly as confident" about Winnipeg "automatically" selecting Patrik Laine with the No. 2 overall pick, as he was about the Toronto Maple Leafs selecting Auston Matthews. Not a huge surprise there. McKenzie's follow up tweet did make it sound like Jets brass is genuinely exploring their options with the second overall pick though:
I am not saying WPG won't take Laine but I am saying, IMO, Jesse Puljujarvi may be a legit consideration at No. 2 for the Jets.— Bob McKenzie (@TSNBobMcKenzie) June 23, 2016
What should we make of this? Let's unpack it after the jump.

The London Knights acquired the OHL rights to Jack Roslovic from the Flint Firebirds in exchange for a seventh round pick, and two conditional second round picks. The conditions, of course, are that Roslovic leaves the University of Miami and signs with the Knights.
Jets Nation has been told that nothing is official yet, but Jack Roslovic is as good as gone, and will likely sign to the London Knights sometime after the Jets' development camp (which runs July 2nd-7th).

Welcome to this week's version of What Would You Do Wednesday where you are asked a question and debate among yourselves what the answer is. Unfortunately, the only prize you will receive will be the most Twitter mentions.
For this week's What Would You Do Wednesday, I am posing the question, would you trade for Pavel Datsyuk's contract?
