What a magnificent day in Edmonton. The sun is shining, the Oilers play the Rangers this evening and oh what's that? It's Jason Gregor's birthday. Many knew that scoring was an issue for the team last season in Atlanta and this season scoring has also been a problem in the early going.

Coming off a two-goal third period implosion Wednesday night in Toronto, the Winnipeg Jets went into Ottawa looking to escape their brief Ontario road trip with three of a possible four points. The Senators decided to put together their most effective outing of the year Thursday, dominating the Jets, and capturing a 4-1 victory.
