How concerned should the Jets be over their poor defensive numbers?

The Winnipeg Jets last season prided themselves on smart, effective defense.

This season has been a bit different. Both by the eye-test and numbers, the Jets have not been nearly as effective in preventing opposition chances.

Jacob Trouba saved from a call from NHL player safety

The NHL's department of player safety won't be giving Jacob Trouba a phone call after the Winnipeg Jets defenceman threw what looked like an illegal check to the head of Blues forward Troy Brouwer on Sunday night.

It was reported by Winnipeg Sun's Ken Wiebe that Trouba will not be contacted by the league for delivering the hit, which went unnoticed by referees Dan O'Rourke and Tom Kowal.

Jets Nation Recap: Jets Lose A Heated Battle With the Blues

Unfortunately the Jets could not pull a win out of this game. The Blues would go up early in the second and would see the Jets constantly fighting from behind. What we did see was a heated game that was entertaining to watch by two teams that do not like each other.

The Jets would end up losing 4-2. Lets take a look at the game.
