- Do you remember your first game as a pro?
You bet! I was 17. I think it was season 1988/89. It was the last game of the season against Sokol Kiev. I was very nervous. I was put out there with Alexei Kasatonov – the legend. He tried to cheer me up as best as he could. We won 8:2 but I was frustrated.

The Winnipeg Jets weren’t projected to make it to the play-offs this year. And although Winnipeg has only managed five wins in their first 14 games, they’re still only four points away from the 5th spot in the conference. Coming off a two-goal third period implosion Wednesday night in Toronto, the Winnipeg Jets went into Ottawa looking to escape their brief Ontario road trip with three of a possible four points. The Senators decided to put together their most effective outing of the year Thursday, dominating the Jets, and capturing a 4-1 victory.

Adam Lowry breathed a sigh of relief when his agent called on June 26th to tell the six-foot-five, 189-pound forward he had been selected in the third round of the 2011 NHL Entry Draft. He took another one when he found out that it was the Winnipeg Jets – not the Calgary Flames – who had selected him.
