Jets at Olympic Camps

Following the announcement of NHL participation in the 2014 Sochi Olympics, Monday saw many countries announce the players that will be attending camps for their respective hockey teams. To the pleasure of Winnipeg fans everywhere, there were many Jets scattered among four of those lists. Today we take a look at the players mentioned, some that weren’t, and my thoughts on each.

Jets Schedule Highlights...Finally

Yeah yeah we are a little late to the “schedule release party”. We have lives too. Sorry. It’s here now, so enjoy it for what it’s worth okay? Jets Development Camp - Final Day

Yesterday I finally got a chance to head on over to watch the final day of the Jets Development Camp. The day mainly consisted of a 3 on 3 “tournament” that had all 42 Jets prospects on the ice at once, giving me a good chance to see who would be able to really stand out from the crowd.

Could Reimer End Up in the 'Peg?

Today I continue what has seemingly become my “acquire all ex-Leafs” series by looking at the possibility of the Jets one day picking up James Reimer. I have already written pieces about how lovely it would have been for the Jets to snag now Senator Clarke MacArthur, and Mikhail Grabovski (my fingers are still crossed on this one) and there are some serious reasons to think that James Reimer may be the next excellent Leaf player to be on his way out of town. So hey, if Dave Nonis is willing to make all of the players who helped get his team to the playoffs available, who am I to not hope they appear in Winnipeg?

Welcome To Winnipeg: Land of Waiver Wire Pickups and....Arbitration?

The summer of fun continues. Today the news broke that restricted free agents Blake Wheeler, Bryan Little, Zach Bogosian, Paul Postma and Eric Tangradi have all filed for arbitration, and I’m not very happy about it.
