Jets Development Camp - Final Day

Yesterday I finally got a chance to head on over to watch the final day of the Jets Development Camp. The day mainly consisted of a 3 on 3 “tournament” that had all 42 Jets prospects on the ice at once, giving me a good chance to see who would be able to really stand out from the crowd.

Could Reimer End Up in the 'Peg?

Today I continue what has seemingly become my “acquire all ex-Leafs” series by looking at the possibility of the Jets one day picking up James Reimer. I have already written pieces about how lovely it would have been for the Jets to snag now Senator Clarke MacArthur, and Mikhail Grabovski (my fingers are still crossed on this one) and there are some serious reasons to think that James Reimer may be the next excellent Leaf player to be on his way out of town. So hey, if Dave Nonis is willing to make all of the players who helped get his team to the playoffs available, who am I to not hope they appear in Winnipeg?

Welcome To Winnipeg: Land of Waiver Wire Pickups and....Arbitration?

The summer of fun continues. Today the news broke that restricted free agents Blake Wheeler, Bryan Little, Zach Bogosian, Paul Postma and Eric Tangradi have all filed for arbitration, and I’m not very happy about it.

Devin Setoguchi Needs a Center

After a long, slow, rather painful day of watching almost every other team in the Jets new Conference get better, Kevin Cheveldayoff finished Free Agent Friday off with a bit of a splash. When all hopes looked lost, Chevy sent the Jets 2014 second round pick to the Minnesota Wild for forward Devin Setoguchi, in an attempt to finally fill the hole to the right of Evander Kane.

Kevin Cheveldayoff really needs to use his advanced waiver wire experience today folks. The Leafs have placed Mikhail Grabonski on unconditional waivers with the plan of buying him out, and he would be an almost perfect fit for the Jets right now.
