Finally, after two long and rather ridiculous seasons that saw the Winnipeg Jets based out of the Southeast, the league has undergone re-alignment and have the team in a realistic division: The Central. All week I will provide a preview of the Jets new Divisional Rivals, giving you with a brief review of last years’ stats, each team's potential opening day lineup, strengths and weaknesses, and a few major storylines (both Jet and non-Jet related). Today we review what will surely become fierce rivals, the Minnesota Wild.

Honesty time. I’ve been sitting at my computer for about 20 minutes now trying to think of how to open up this article. I tried wit, direct humour, pulling at emotions, a weight loss reference, everything. And well, I’ve got nothing. Truth is, I was bored at work and started thinking about Dustin Byfuglien. People seem to really love the guy, or hate the guy. Some have really high expectations, some have really low. Some think he should be traded, others are sure he will be traded, and there are many who think he is way to valuable to ever consider moving.

The Jets and Patience

The word patience is really starting to annoy me. It has been thrown around Winnipeg sport franchises like no other as of late, and it has me really questioning how much longer fans in the city have to deal with it. The misconception that "just having a team back" is enough should really be wearing off soon, but it seems as if Chevy & Co. are going to hold on to it for as long as the majority of the fan base finds it acceptable. Therefore, I ask you - Do the Jets really deserve our patience any longer, or is it time to expect winning and playoff births from this team?
